Hope Lutheran

We will be collecting for the food pantry in Darlington on the second Sunday of each month. The pantry is run by First Presbyterian Church in Darlington. The next collection will be on April 9th.

A Women’s retreat is being planned for May 6th at Hope from 9:30 to 3:00 p.m. The theme will be Spiritual Friendship – The Story of Ruth and Naomi. We will do a service project for Women at the Women’s Center. We would like to collect 20 body lotions, body soaps, adult coloring books and colored pencils by Sunday, April 30th to make gift bags. We will be also making cards to encourage the women who have experienced domestic violence and sexual assualt to be strong and assertive, to believe in the themselves, and to feel good about themselves.

Hope will be starting a Grief group on April 17th at 11:00 a.m. Anyone is welcomed to sign up on Sunday mornings or by calling Hope’s Church office.

Our Holy Week services are as follows: Maundy Thursday Service (April 6) at Holy Trinity at 7pm, and Good Friday Service (April 7) at 7pm at Hope.

Parish midweek services begin on Wednesday, November 30th. A light supper will be held at 6:00 p.m. and Holden Evening prayer will begin at 7:00 p.m.
